Over the past few years LocalLink has given hotspot and computer access from its office location. We have since expanded the wireless capability by using a mesh topology.
SisterLakes.com Hotspot is reachable from the Sister Lakes Elementary School, along to the gas station, and all the way down to the roller rink. Basically the entire 'downtown' Sister Lakes area is now hotspot enabled. This includes eating at Montgomery's corner restaurant. If you wish to browse while you're hungry, take your laptop and grab a cup of coffee or a meal at Montgomery's.
It hasn't been tested yet, but parts of Round Lake should also work for those die hard computer users who want to use a laptop while on the lake.
Access is free for 20 minutes a day, and a small fee per hour or week after that.
As of this writing, the system has had a total of 151 users which have transferred 229.267566 gigabytes.
